A French Fancy: Delphine Manivet
Having recently returned from New York after seeing the fabulous Fall 2013 Bridal Collections, Anna DaFonte is pleased to announce a partnership with Paris-based designer Delphine Manivet. Both fashion-forward and traditional, Delphine Manivet has become a firm favourite amongst chic brides both in France and across Europe. Her eye for fashion is evident in her luxe fabrics as well as the creative nature of her gowns and separates, which can be mixed and matched to allow for an individual look. Delphine Manivet will definitely appeal to brides who are after something special, different and unique.
The current collection sees the bride become Delphine Manivet’s muse, with the quest for Grace, her inspiration. Grace can be described as “the indefinable charm of a living being.” Influences from the past are always evident: this time the 30s and 70’s, a seemingly improbable marriage of eras that are revitalized by Delphine’s vision: tradition, na¬tural elegance, measured glamour and sophistication. Wallis Simpson and Jean Shrimpton, both icons of their time, provided further inspiration...

The luxury bridal evening, held in conjunction with event partners Bride to Be Magazine and Fairfax and Roberts, was a great success! The combination of spectacular gowns and sparkling engagement rings all under the roof of Fairfax and Roberts’ elegant showroom was a heady one!

Reem Acra Spring 2013 Bridal Collection
Reem Acra described her Spring 2013 bride as “fun loving, yet confident”, and her gowns embodied this sentiment, with embroidery, illusion sleeves and backs as well as removable skirts floating down the runway. From “bloom to blossom, sweet to spicy, with the signature embroidery and feminine interpretation of lace,” Reem Acra had all forms covered. Elizabeth Fillmore Spring 2013 Bridal Collection
Flowering gardens and budding branches were Elizabeth Fillmore’s inspiration for her Spring 2013 Collection. Her beautiful gowns incorporated sumptuous fabrics such as guipure lace, silk, chiffon and laser cut satin. Along with intricate beading; vintage floral accents and embroidery were delicately interwoven into this rich tapestry. The elegance of a bygone era is also reflected in Elizabeth Fillmore’s glamorous gowns. The lovely ‘Isabella’ mermaid gown, with sweetheart neckline and optional gathered peplum accent (pictured), is one of many on its way to Anna DaFonte! Read More

Legendary style icon, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Julie Bowen and Diane Lane were amongst the celebrities who chose to wear Reem Acra to the 2012 Golden Globes in Los Angeles.
